Thank you to all the artists, community organizers, participants, and sponsors!

Lifting Our Stories hosted a book GIVEAWAY during the “huerta del valle” mural PAINTING at the loma linda sponsored community garden in San bernardino. Many came out to paint, converse, enjoy some free books, AND most importantly, build COMMUNITY!

we are trying to continue these efforts and partner with different community organizations and provide free books for students 3-17 at their events.

Lifting Our Stories hosted a Virtual Career Panel discussion for High School students called “Real Talk with Young professionals”. At this virtual career panel, students had the opportunity to hear about the careers and the educational journeys that it took to get into these careers from (4) young professionals who share their identities and who are from the San Bernardino area. These individuals have careers from the following areas:  Engineering, Graphic Design and Branding, Entrepreneurship, and Public Policy.

We wanted to provide a space where high school students can learn about the different pathways to careers that individuals took after graduating high school.
